The Office of Institutional Assessment, Research, & Effectiveness at Tennessee Tech University recently completed a comprehensive overhaul of the Institutional Effectiveness reporting process based on key lessons learned from preparing the Fifth-Year Interim report. These changes allowed for better management of long-term program and student learning outcomes and generated meaningful change across campus particularly as the institution prepares for Reaffirmation of Accreditation. This was accomplished by simplifying the IE process and clarifying connections between key components of the IE report making it easier to track outcomes and facilitate the review process. This session will cover the issues that plagued our IE process, the strategies we applied to revise and improve our process, and the training we implemented to support faculty and staff.
